Dive into the heart of Canadian youth soccer in the picturesque resort city of Kelowna, BC from May 18-20, 2024. The Elite XI Canadian Club Championship, powered by NIKE, is set to be a monumental showcase of talent, skill, and passion. With two distinct divisions, we cater to the cream of the crop: the High Performance Division featuring elite leagues like BCSPL and AYSL, and the fiercely competitive Metro Division (Tier 1). Welcoming boys and girls from U14 to U17, this event promises to be a thrilling display of soccer prowess. As the sun reflects off Kelowna’s shimmering waters, teams will battle it out to determine who truly is the Best of the Best.

The Elite XI – Canada Program, backed by the dynamism of Nike, is a ground breaking nationwide endeavor dedicated to unlocking unparalleled opportunities for Canada’s budding soccer stars. Our mission? To pave new developmental avenues that seamlessly align with players’ existing club commitments. By uniting top-tier coaches and standout players from coast to coast, we’re cultivating an ethos of excellence, ensuring every talented young athlete receives unmatched support. Catering to boys and girls aged 12-18, scouting opportunities will span the vast Canadian landscape with many players being scouted at the Elite XI Canadian Club Championship. Those handpicked will be granted exclusive access to prestigious events, both on home turf and the global stage.

TOURNAMENT POLICIES

REFUND POLICY

Tournament registration fees are due in full at the time of application. Full refunds can be requested and issued, less a $150.00 administration fee, up to March 15, 2024.

Requests for refunds must be made in writing, to the attention of the Showcase director.

After March15, 2023 no refunds will be issued, for any reason including acts of God. These include but are not limited to:

• Rain/floods
• Fires/smoke from fires
• Earthquakes
• Pandemics

COVID – 19 Note: While we are all still adjusting to life with Covid-19, for 2024 our refund policy applies to any reason for cancellation, including restrictions placed due to Covid-19. There will not be a 100% refund guarantee.

We are not responsible for team travel related issues such as postponed or a cancelled flights or travel restrictions that may be imposed. Teams must take appropriate measures to consider coverage, at the time of booking.

In the event of unforeseen circumstances beyond control, the following will be considered:

• A refund to reflect the remaining portion of the team’s registration
• A full or partial credit towards a future event
• A rescheduling of the event in the near future

TOURNAMENT ACCEPTANCE/INSURANCE POLICY

As a BC Soccer sanctioned tournament, entry into the to the tournament shall be limited to teams, which are properly affiliated with BC Soccer and/or other Provincial/State Associations. Teams participating from outside of BC must provide copies of approved travel documents, prior to the tournament, for their team/players from the Provincial/State Association of which they are affiliated.

Only properly registered players, in good standing, shall be permitted to participate in the tournament.

All teams are responsible for all registration, permits and approvals within their club/district and/or any other jurisdiction and governing body. We are not responsible for confirming player eligibility and/or insurability and trust all teams will comply with any/all policies put in place by their governing bodies in regards to player/team eligibility to participate in this or any other sanctioned tournament.

STAY & PLAY POLICY

All teams traveling from out of town, requiring accommodations must stay at one of the tournament host hotels. All rooms must be booked through EventConnect on your team dashboard.

Hotels vary by price and amenity so that teams can choose the option that suits them best. Bookings are first come, first served and once a selection is full teams must choose an alternate from the list provided. We expect a significant number of out-of-town teams and we recommend you book your hotel immediately upon registration.

Any team found to have not booked at a host hotel will be removed from the schedule and no refund will be provided.

GUEST PLAYER POLICY

Teams may use the services of a guest player so long as the following conditions are met:

• A player is not on the roster of another team participating in a competitive division in the tournament. A player can only play on one team in the tournament unless permission is granted by the tournament director.

• If a team is from BC and the player is not registered with BC Soccer, the team must apply for a Short Term Event Player Permit for the player a minimum of 15 business days before the tournament date to obtain a permit. Permit can be found on BC Soccer site.

• Teams participating in an approved tournament, wishing to use the services of a player registered with another team, shall first obtain written permission from the team & Youth District and/or Adult League with which the player is registered. Players registered with BC Soccer must use the form found on BC Soccer site.

PHOTOGRAPHY/VIDEO USAGE POLICY

By registering for this event, you are consenting to the use of any photographs and/or video recordings, of any team player(s) or staff member(s), taken by BC Surf Soccer Club. for use on our website, social media sites, and/or in any marketing materials.
